Alessandra Ruggiero

Alessandra Ruggiero insegna Studi culturali all’Università di Teramo. Le sue aree di interesse includono il teatro inglese e irlandese, la performance poetry, il romanzo contemporaneo di lingua inglese, gli adattamenti e lo storytelling transmediale e crossmediale. Ha di recente tradotto tre atti unici di Brian Friel per il primo di due volumi dedicati al drammaturgo irlandese (Arcadia & Ricono 2022), di cui ha curato anche l’introduzione.

Alessandra Ruggiero is Senior Lecturer in Cultural Studies at the University of Teramo. Her current research interests encompass English and Irish theatre, performance poetry, the contemporary novel in English, adaptations, transmedia and cross-media storytelling. She has recently translated three plays by Brian Friel for the first of two volumes dedicated to the Irish playwright (Arcadia & Ricono 2022), to which she also contributed the introductory essay.
