Speaker Laura Minervini Università degli Studi di Napoli "Federico II" Medieval Iberia was characterized by a high degree of linguistic, ethno-religious, and cultural diversity. We cannot, however, assume an exact correlation among them: belonging to a linguistic community, thus, does not necessarily correspond belonging to an ethno-religious or cultural community and the boundaries among them are not clear-cut. We will try to outline the relevant feature of this complex sociolinguistic situation, that suffers from an extremely biased narrative (even in the scientific milieu).
