Abstract In recent times, historiography has been engaged in studying the most significant events in southern cities in the Spanish Age, discovering in some localities - which became strategic centers of vast feudal "states" - the existence of princely courts that had little to envy to those, far more famous, developed outside the Kingdom of Naples. Salerno, too, had its Renaissance Court, the location of which has been sought, where the pen of Bernardo Tasso celebrated the Letters and the speeches of Agostino Nifo the Humanistic Philosophy. Music, singing and theater were also honored, thanks to the patronage of Prince Ferrante Sanseverino, a true protagonist of the History of Southern Italy in the 16th century era.
